Spring tour 2019
Dear friends, happy Purim!
In a few days we will begin our Israeli Spring tour with concerts across the country. We will start in the southern city of Eilat where we are going to perform for the first time, and then go all around Israel up to kibbutz Kfar Blum in the north. Our program includes masterworks by Bach and Mozart in wonderful arrangements by Mordechai Rechtman, alongside classics from the 20th century repertoire by Ligeti and Hindemith. Rossini completes the program with his 4th Sonata for winds, an operatic and cheerful jem.

In addition to our own concerts we also have various interesting collaborations coming up in the next few weeks. On Wednesday, April 3rd, we will take part in the ‘Spring at the Colony’ festival in The Community Garden of Jerusalem’s Natural History Museum. The day includes activity for families, masterclasses for young musicians from the ‘Sadna’ conservatory and a concluding concert.
The admission is free to all of these events. For more information on this special festival click on the link.
Rossini - Sonata no. 1 for winds
The annual concert of the Ronen Foundation takes place on Tuesday, April 2nd, in the Recanati Auditorium at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. We are honored to return to this festive event alongside several talented artists, recipients of the Ronen Foundation scholarships in past and present. We will perform an arrangement of the Candide overture by Bernstein - at the event of his 100th birthday.
All proceeds are exclusively designated for the young artists of the Foundation, for more details and reservations please press on the link.
With the composer Yoav Talmi after a performance of his Wind Quintet
This intense month will conclude on Sunday, April 14th. In a concert in the ACUM house in Tel Aviv we will perform a movement from Yoav Talmi’s Wind Quintet - a piece he wrote especially for us. The premiere of this piece in our previous tour was received warmly by the audiences and we are delighted to play it once again in the occasion of Talmi’s new CD launch, published by the Israel Music Institute. In the spirit of the holiday - a short Purim trick, make sure you watch until the end…
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
