Dear friends,
Unfortunately all concert halls in Israel are still closed due to the pandemic restrictions. Until we can all meet there we continue to share with you some updates about our recent and upcoming activities.
A new YouTube channel upload - Rossini’s 4th Sonata for winds in a recording from the beautiful Loushy gallery in Tel Aviv, an initiative of the Felicja Blumental Music Center during the first wave of the pandemic.
Open-air concert
This Monday, August 31st, we will be performing (to a real audience!) in Kibbutz Kfar Blum at the north of Israel. The event will take place according to the Health ministry regulations, for additional information please click on the link.
Back to the JCMF
The Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival will be broadcasted online this year. We are glad to return to this Festival on Saturday, September 5th. We will perform Beethoven’s piano quintet (still celebrating the composer’s 250 anniversary) with the wonderful pianist Ishay Shaer. The concert will be broadcasted on the festival’s website, as well as on the websites of the Jerusalem Music Centre, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Israeli classical radio station, ‘Kan’. For further information visit the festival’s website.
Peter and the Wolf in the Radio
The Galei Zahal radio station hosted us for a special program about Peter and the Wolf in the beginning of the month. We spoke about the exciting journey we had with this masterpiece and about its magic. We performed some excerpts live in the studio as well. Have a listen here.
Wishing you good health,
Members of the Tel Aviv Wind Quintet
